I gazed into your eyes?
I was swept away with wonder...
Full of happy and surprise!!!

You were fresh from school, then...
And I thought myself too old...
We both were very shy then...
And I thought myself too bold!!!

I felt a gentle stirring come...
From somewhere deep inside...
I knew I couldn't lose you...
For our souls were ever tied.

Then when I became tongue-tied...
We were floating in the air...
You said those words that held your love...
I almost fainted there!!!

"Not only do I like you...
I' m in love with you..." you sighed...
I can't remember what I said...
From shock I almost died!!!

Well, that was many years ago...
My soul mate that is true...
But it seems like only yesterday...
I fell in love with you!!!
