PROGRESS ?
©1999 by Harlequeen

I see you as you were then.
But this is now.
Memories of hating your behaviour
Your irresponsibility
Your lack of regard
For me, my feelings, my principles.
Sleeping with anyone
Who presented themselves.
Prostitutes were more selective.

I see you as you are now.
Ten years since I left.
Young friends, the same but different.
Still a constant pool
Of willing partners
Where you may feed your ego.
You have my pity.
A thin blanket to warm you
In your isolation.
