I can stand ever so slowly
It's so hard to see
I feel like an angel with broken wings
That's lost her will to be.

The blood sputters out of my mouth
Leaving a bitter, burning taste inside
I scream, the pain is so intense
Why oh why won't it subside

Once before I could fly,
And as my eyes look to the sky
With their glassy undertones,
I am grounded, that's what took you from me.
