Inspiring … reason unknown … please look into your soul;
find me there when you are needing someone just to hold.
I touched your heart ~ I know I did … you said that once to me;
you’ll never know another in the way that you know me.

What is it that makes me want to write the way I do?
Inspiration lingers even though you say we’re through.
I don’t recall a time that I have written quite so much …
and based upon the fact that it is just my heart you touch.

Forgive me when I say that you will never break my heart …
not only that, I won’t allow possession of that part.
Emotional commitment ~ yes … an everlasting friend …
and unconditional, no doubt … I’ll love you ‘til the end.
