NIGHT

It was night
jet black and shadowed
we were two
caught up in a moment
of heated bliss
that took us
all the way
to heaven

It was hot
on that night
when she touched me
and my own fingers
flew inside
depths of excitement
rocking
all the way into midnight

It was wet
that took us
and splayed us
across embers
shivering
trembling
arching
each kiss brought me
closer to her
flame

Each breath
brought us
to rapid breath
shallow
and wanton
crazed
and fevered
blissfully so
