I wanted to be in that place
where we blended together
folded into one another
where I began and you left off
only to find that the amobea strip
was the continuum where my seams
and yours intertwine
I wanted to be in that space
where we meshed like silver and gold
the rich dust creeping up into the spirals
of a time that allowed us to bend
and give and take and offer
and let us feel how richly we pour forth
when the last arch has crested
and your spine tingles with the knowledge
that I shall always love you
